| Oh my dang I love summer time, it is so beautiful outside and I love seeing people be active. Last week we went to a Nationals game (they lost to the Braves big time, but it was still fun) and while we were driving through DC it seemed like everyone and there mom was out, either bike ridding, or jogging, or playing frisbee, baseball, you name it and it was being done. And this past Saturday Jenny and I went with the church to the Shenandoah Mountains and hiked up about two miles to the top where we had a picnic lunch, that was good times, there were about twenty or so people who went. I don't know, it just gives me warm fuzzies to be able to enjoy the outdoors and to watch other people enjoy it too. So I say stop what you're doing, (if you're reading this, that means get off the computer) and go play outside for awhile ok, even if you don't play sports or enjoy jogging go outside anyway, get to a quiet place and hangout with God, I'm sure He digs the outdoors . I'm serious, get up, GO!!! | | |
| So I'm way excited right now, I finally got plugged into a small group through the church and I went to my first meeting on Tuesday. These girls are awesome and so much fun, this is what I've been wanting ever since we moved here you know, God is good, amen? It is like a small group of engaged women though, but hey that's cool, you know maybe it's contagious ( just my luck Id be immune though). After telling them that I'm studding to be a personal trainer two of them want to workout with me so I'm going to be training them two times a week, I couldn't be more stoked! It's been so hard up to this point, I've been faced with so many challenges, and I'm not expecting things to just be easy now, but it's like things are just starting to fall into place and I feel like God is about to unravel things and begin to reveal a little of why I'm here and what His plan for my life is here, and I can't wait. Here's to the next chapter! | | |
| So my Bailley is married now. I had the best time at home this past week just being able to be there for my little sis. She was so beautiful, I cried, and everything was just simple and intimate, it was great. It was funny because she was the most calm bride I've ever seen, I saw her freak out for only like a second the day before the wedding, but besides that she was so laid back, that's just how we Gosselin's are though, although she is a Hawkin's now so that may change along with her last name. Anyway it was just nice to get away from the everyday and see my family for awhile. Jenny and I didn't get home until 1:30 this morning though, my flight go in a little after 11 and her's got in a little after midnight so by the time we got luggage and found a bus to take us to the car it was way late, getting up for class this morning was a real jerk.Anyway, it's good to be back. | | |
| Psalm 29:2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.

| On Tuesday Jenny and I went to the Glory Revealed concert that featured, Shane and Shane, Mac Powell (from thirday) Brian Littrell (former backstreet boy) and a whole bunch of other artists, and it was so amazing. It was all these artist singing each other's songs all together on one stage, it was the coolest thing, it wasn't like a concert at all, it was like church but more like church how I think it is ment to be. It was comfortable, everyone was just real, you know. And I fell in love with this chick Candi Pearson Shelton, who was a phenomenal singer, but more than that you could see how much she loves the Lord in the way she sang, yeah I want to be her friend. We got to meet all of them at the end and Jenny had them all put their favorite Bible verse in a book we got, so that was cool, by the way Brian Littrell is really small in person, and kinda old.Anyway, I walked away from the concert way challenged because the guy wrote the book we got also spoke, and he started out by getting everyone all fired up, he would say things like "who believes the Bible is true?" and people would all cheer and clap. Then he was like " who believes The Word is living and active?" and more cheering and clapping," Who believes the Word is sharper than any double edged sword?" and he asked several more questions that got everyone all jazzed. Then he was like "if you've been a Christian for more than 5 years stand up" so like over half the people stand, and he starts calling on people to tell him how long they've been a Christian, and people were like, 27 years, 10 years, 7 years. Then he was like "ok keep standing if you can reference and recite one verse of scripture for every year you've been saved, and almost everyone sat down. And he made the point that we claim the importance of the Bible , we'll fight for the the Ten Commandments to be kept in our schools, just to take it and set it on a shelf somewhere. He then talked about how we try and have a relationship with Jesus the person without having a relationship with Jesus The Word, and they are inseparable. I was like, dang I need to know my Jesus, I need to spend time in the Word. So it was a really awesome time and I walked away with a lot more than having just heard some good music. My face, totally rocked off. | | |
